It’s been a rough week thanks to a bout of Covid (so 2020 of me), but I can always find refuge in tv, books and music:
The Last of Us (on Sky/Now)
I won’t discuss the new season of this brilliant, compulsive, thrilling, heartwrenching TV show in detail in case you plan to watch but haven’t seen the latest episode. If you have, you will understand that I AM NOT OK.
A Complicated Woman by Self Esteem
I have been looking forward to Self Esteem’s new album since not long after the release of her last one, Prioritise Pleasure, which is firmly in my list of my top five albums. I saw her perform A Complicated Woman in the West End last week and it was a joyful, exhilarating and moving evening so I know I will be listening to this on repeat.
The Secret Room by Jane Casey
I have written before about my love of Jane Casey’s fantastic page-turning and twisty crime thrillers, so I am sure I will be at least halfway through the latest, released today (Thursday 24th April), by the time you read this post.
